This collaboration design began backstage just 4 hours before it was supposed to walk down the runway for Luís Levonche's debut collection: Perle Urbaine.

The "Perle Bra" began with a rough drape & and a relaxed fit due to the time crunch it was created under.
The 1st hour was used to drape & safety pin the trim into a bra-like shape. The last 3 were used to hand stitch the piece together backstage as the event began & progressed. The bra was being stitched together up until the moment it needed to be put on the model for the runway walk.

3 months after its debut, the "Perle Bra" walked the runway again for a different event, but this time with some updates made to its structure & function.
To create more support, I secured a pair of bra cups (harvested from a 2nd hand gown) into the trim, and added a 2nd pair of straps to secure around the rib cage. Over 18 hours of hand sewing went into forming the trim around the cups.
